The Deathbridge Derby Dames traveled to Saskatchewan Sept. 8 to take on the Redneck Betties. The last time the Dames met the Betties was over a year prior, also in Swift Current. In July of 2012 the game was tight but the Dames took the win by ten points.

At this bout, strategy did not help the Dames against the Betties use of walls and the Betties took the lead early and maintained it throughout the first half.

In the second half, the Dames managed to make up some ground but was unable to catch the Betties. Dames lost to the Redneck Betties 88-128.

The league’s next planned bout is scheduled for November 10, 2012 at the Lethbridge Exhibition. Stay tuned for details.
