Chinook City Roller Derby of Calgary is hosting Alberta’s inaugural roller derby tournament and the Deathbridge Derby Dames are excited to be a part of it!

Featuring 12 women’s teams, 4 men’s teams and 2 junior teams skating on two tracks inside Calgary’s Olympic Oval, it will be an experience like no other for old and new roller derby fans alike.

The tournament, which has confirmed teams from the US, BC and Alberta, kicks off Friday, April 13 and wraps up Sunday, April 15. In addition to the tournament there will be opportunities to attend challenge and co-ed bouts and browse the extensive vendor village.

Tournament action for the Dames starts Friday at 2 p.m. where they will face the Grand Prairie Roller Derby Association. They want to welcome all their Lethbridge fans to come up for the weekend and cheer them on!

Advance tickets are available online and are $15 per day or $30 for the entire weekend. Tickets will also be available at the door for $20 per day or $40 for the weeknd. Children 12 and under are $5 per day or admitted free with a donation to the Calgary YWCA.
