In “real” life I… have an amazing husband, been together for 25 years and married for 16 or them. We have two kids. I am a stay at home mom…kinda. I am a care giver for my friends two kids, I like to make things to sell and I do other stuff too. I am the mother, wife, nurse, cook, driver, cookie maker, events planner and derby girl.
Playing roller derby since September 2010
What do you like most about playing roller derby? How good it makes me feel, I am in the best shape I have been for a long time. Oh and who could forget the great people…you meet people from every walk of life.
Is currently working on skating side on…I will get it I swear. I want to make 30 laps in 5 minutes before Sept of this year. I will conquer the sideways skating and play more games then ever before. Also do to some traveling I hope to play with at least two teams from Newfoundland.
Best moment of your derby career (so far): RollerCon, The people I met, the people I got to learn from and the fun had with so many strangers that didn’t seem so strange.
For my birthday I would like… new skates….but that might have to be next year…
Fun fact about you…with my family I have driven across Canada twice now (AB to NL) and will be doing it 2 more times this summer..yes it is a fun fact…I am not crazy..really!!
