What do you like most about playing roller derby? Playing a full-contact sport with a bunch of awesome ladies in front of an enthusiastic crowd. Oh, is that 3 things? Too bad.
What derby skill are you working on right now? What are your derby goals? I’ve been working a lot on agility and on game awareness, like when to hit hard vs. when to bump someone out vs. when to bridge the gap in the pack. Goal-wise, I shoot for the stars, but school comes first, and I may have to take time off once I start grad school.
Best moment of your derby career (so far): Jumping the apex twice against the Foxy Rollers in my first home game as a Dame.
For my birthday I would like: New skates! I have had the same ones since starting 2.5 years ago and they are probably an actual hazard at this point.
Fun fact about you: I’m originally from Vancouver Island, so I get to vacation in paradise for a few weeks out of every year with free accommodations. 😉
