Date of birth…June 23rd
Favourite position on the track: On the inside line, stopping that damned apex jumping jammer

Real Name: Jennifer, that’s Dr. Jennifer to you

In “real” life I…teach psychology, and no I’m not *that* kind of psychologist. I cannot analyze your dreams, nor am I of any real use in helping you resolve your longstanding issues with your mother. I am trained as a researcher. I collect and analyze data on how people make decisions.

Playing roller derby since February 2012.

What do you like most about playing roller derby? Playing roller derby. I do it because I can, and because it scares the hell out of me, and I like pushing myself through my fears.

What derby skill are you working on right now? Fast stops, backwards crossovers, and to get lighter on my feet.

Best moment of your derby career (so far):Traveling with my team to Nelson B.C. for the Western championships and my first game ever. I was a skating pylon with no idea what was happening all around me, but I am forever grateful to my team for letting me gear up and get out there.

For my birthday I would like…World peace and more Black Milk leggings.

Fun fact about you…I have ME, also known a chronic fatigue syndrome. I spent most of my 30’s unable to engage in any physical activity. You never know how much you value something until you lose it. I am lucky enough to have mostly recovered, and simply being able to skate, no matter how fast or how well, means more to me than anyone can know.
