Real Name Cody-Lynn Jensen(Go by Lynn or Cody but prefer Soultaker)

Date of Birth: December 18, 1991

Favourite position on the track is pivot, in the heat of the game I’m prone to be very track aware which I then share with my teammates what is going on by yelling at them, I promise it’s not cause I’m bossy just informing them.

In “real” life I am a full time college student. When I’m not at school I’m working as a flag person stopping traffic or working on the family farm.

I started playing roller derby in May of 2012 in Taber, in January of 2013 I joined the Dames.

What do you love most about roller derby? The sport creates a family network and friendships from all over. Teammates become a support system that you can call when you need help or just someone to talk to. Certain players become have become my sister’s whether they’refrom my team or another. I even got a derby mom who adopted me before I even played my first game as a Dame, I think it was the red hair.

What derby skills are you working on right now? What am I not working on? Derby is a sport that allows for room of improvement no matter who you are. My weakness is my tomahawks, but don’t tell my ego that, it might get upset.

Best moment in derby career wasn’t even when I was playing a game. I was in Great Falls with my mother for the weekend, when I was at a stop sign I had a car behind me honked it’s horn for no reason at all. I drove further in the parking lot and parked which the car that had honked followed me when I got out I noticed the derby decals on the car. She had honked at me for noticing my derby decals which then lead to a great conversation about the love of the game.

For my birthday I just want to spend it with family and friends, but by all means I will not turn down gifts;)

Fun fact about me is that I can solve an Rubik’s cube 3×3, 2×2 and working on the 4×4.
