Our league is home to our adult team the Deathbridge Derby Dames 918+) and our junior team the Windy City Wipeouts (6 to 17 years old) and we need space to practice our skills and learn new ones. However Space in Lethbrige is limited and expensive. Our options currently are with the city or exhibition grounds and those places do not come cheap. So in order to help supplement these costs we are holding a fundraiser.

On July 27th, 2014 you will find skaters of all ages skating their hearts out at Murray KIA for our Skate-a-Thon.

KIA has offered  us use of their parking lot to host this event and we hope to see lots of people that day. We will have two areas set up. Area 1 will have an oval roller derby track set up which is approximately 37 meters a lap where skaters will skate for two hours. During this time you are very welcome to try derby out in area 2. We will have gear, waivers and some mouth guards (new for purchase) there and for $5 you can give it a try, however if you have your own mouth guard and/or gear please bring it.

You will find a number of tables with Derby Merch, snacks and drinks for purchase and information about how you too can play roller derby or become a ref.

So come on down between 2 and 4 to check it out.
